MESSAGE FROM APPEAL CHAIRS

Mount Sinai College stands at a defining moment. Since opening in 1981, we have grown into a thriving Primary school and ELC, nurturing children from age 2 through to Year 6 and serving a student body of nearly 400 students. As the gateway to Jewish education in the South-East and a vital source of identity and community, our school has long combined academic excellence with strong Jewish values and a warm, nurturing environment where every child feels a true sense of belonging.

As our community grows, so must our facilities. Completing the final stage of our campus redevelopment, a vision set in motion in 2014, is essential to continuing to shape confident, connected and resilient young Jews. This is more than a building project; it is an investment in the future of our children, our school and our community in the South-East.

With the support of the 2026 Capital Appeal, we will create future-focused learning spaces that inspire imagination, encourage collaboration and prepare students for the world they will be a part of. Dedicated Music and Innovation studios, an all-weather play area, bringing our 2-year-olds onto the main campus and strengthened security will elevate every child’s daily experience.

This redevelopment fulfils Mount Sinai College’s long-term strategic priorities: strengthening enrolment, enabling consolidation and long-term savings, and safeguarding the relational, identity-forming education that defines the College. At the same time, it creates flexible, future-focused spaces that will be used by and serve the broader South-East Jewish community.

Supporting this appeal affirms that Jewish continuity, character and community matter. Together, we will complete the vision and ensure Mount Sinai College remains a place where children grow with curiosity, courage and pride.
