WHY THIS CAPITAL APPEAL MATTERS

STRENGTHENING JEWISH IDENTITY

At Mount Sinai College, from the earliest years through to primary school, children grow with a strong sense of who they are, where they belong, and the values that guide them. In supporting the College, you are helping ensure this sense of identity, confidence and continuity remains strong for generations to come.

MATCHING CAMPUS TO EDUCATION EXCELLENCE

To deliver the kind of future-focused, relational learning our children need, we require spaces that support inquiry, creativity, emerging technologies and real-world problem-solving spaces that reflect the world our children are entering, not the one we remember. This redevelopment is how we protect what makes Mount Sinai exceptional and ensure it continues to thrive.

ENSURING FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY

The campus redevelopment has been carefully planned to strengthen Mount Sinai College’s long-term financial sustainability while preserving flexibility for the future. The College currently operates two Early Learning Centre locations, in recognition of its strong performance, contribution to the College and importance to future enrolment pathways. The redevelopment has been designed to provide strategic optionality, ensuring the College can respond thoughtfully to changing enrolment needs over time.

BUILDING A COMMUNAL HUB

At a time when community connection matters more than ever, Mount Sinai College plays a vital role at the heart of Jewish life in Sydney’s South-East. As the largest feeder to Moriah College and a key partner of Maroubra Synagogue, the College anchors families in a strong, connected Jewish community - with over 60% of graduates continuing to Moriah for high school.

This redevelopment will complete the transformation of the campus into a welcoming, modern communal hub: a place that draws families in, strengthens connection and belonging, and supports Jewish life well beyond the classroom. We look forward to welcoming new families and community organisations to our campus and into our growing community.
